I was raised in Waukesha, WI and have one older sister and one younger brother. Family and friends are the most important thing to me and I am blessed to have many.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I married my husband, Kern, 20 years ago this August. We have 3 children together, Emmitt (18), Teagan (16) and Noah (14). We also added our dog, Maui, to our family in 2020.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have worked in the travel business since 1993 and love the work I do. I recently celebrated my 20 year Anniversary with Elm Grove Travel last September. Most of my family and friends tell me they travel more because of what I do for a living. I love making travel dreams a reality for my clients.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Our family favorite is definitely David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse in Mukwonago and we love Crossroads pizza in Big Bend.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
We moved to Big Bend 14 years ago when Emmitt started 4K. LOVE the school district!!

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
There are so many great people in Mukwonago but hands down Craig Vertz and Sheryl Grossman are ambassadors in the community and the time they volunteer is priceless. Jeremiah Chitwood needs a mention too!! They all make me want to do more for the community by their example.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
This is the hardest question but my latest bucket list is Greece & Croatia with my family.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
50 First Dates with Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore. I LOVE Hawaii and it takes me back every time I watch this movie.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
The Golden Rule….Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Spend as much time with my family as possible and make lasting memories.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Zac Brown Band

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Visiting Culvers after my kids sports to celebrate with the team & Friday Night Lights at Hensler Field.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would invite Mick Jagger and Bob Segar to play sheepshead at my parents house. It wouldn’t matter what we had to eat for lunch.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I think it is a great place to raise a family. Small town feel with great values.

Q: What have you done to make Mukwonago a better place?

I was PTO President for 4 years at Big Bend Elementary

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Still traveling the world, I hope.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I still enjoy roller coasters from open to close at Six Flags. (My kids and the Hoppe family already know this fact).

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Great Barrier Reef, Australia or Hawaii (can’t decide)

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
July is my favorite month, Christmas my favorite holiday, and Summer solstice is the best day.
