I grew up in East Troy and all of my life I have been pretty active in church. I went to college to be a pastor in Rochester, MN and married my wife after my freshman year at that college. After college graduation in 2009 we moved to Mukwonago, and I was the youth pastor at what was then “Our Saviors Wesleyan Church.” We lived in the house in front of the church on County Rd NN and we brought our first two kids home from the hospital in that home on church property. Fast forward 15 years, we were offered the opportunity to start a church in that same building after Hillside Community Church closed its doors and we are now living in the same house and pastoring in the same building that we started our family in all of those years ago!

My wife (Emily) and I were High School sweethearts, and she is a graduate of East Troy High School.  We have four boys in the Mukwonago School District (Freshman, 6th, 5th, 4th at Rolling Hills) and we moved to Mukwonago in July 2023 to begin the process of starting StoryHill Church. We are a huge basketball family and spend our time at the basketball court as well as cheering on the Milwaukee Bucks!

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

After our time in Mukwonago from 2009-2011 I was a Student Pastor in Decatur, IL for 7 years, I was a pastor at Elmbrook Church for one year and CrossWay Church in Germantown for five years. I love to meet with people and hear their stories, we love to help people thrive in their marriages and as parents.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In Mukwonago, Pastoring StoryHill Church, and having witnessed at least 3 more Milwaukee Bucks Championships.

Q: What have you done to make Mukwonago a better place?

That is why we started StoryHill Church. We want StoryHill to be a place that is FOR the community of Mukwonago. We are here to serve outside of the walls of the church and want to use the property as a tool for the community to enjoy.
