No matter where I go, and no matter what my next journey will be, Mukwonago will always be my home. Ever since my family moved here in 2003, the people of this community, and this community as a whole, raised me into the man I am today at 22 years old. Some of my favorite memories in Mukwonago are fishing at Phantom Lake, watching/coaching football at Hensler Field, eating at local restaurants including David Alan Alans and Sol De Mexico, and talking to the amazing people of this town and getting to know their stories. I’m currently a Senior at UW-Whitewater with a major of Elementary/Middle school teacher, along with a minor of Special Education. I’m also currently coaching for the Mukwonago Braves football program. I’ve been coaching for 4 years now, and hopefully coach football until I retire. Sadly, I’m one of the rare future teachers from Mukwonago who wants to come back to Mukwonago to teach. This community has helped me in many ways, and I want to thank them by teaching the future generation of Mukwonago. I also want to coach football for the Mukwonago Indians, along with becoming the head coach for them one day. Teaching and Coaching Football is my true passion, and to do it in a community that I love, priceless. – Josh Dretzka
Why We Love Mukwonago
I love that Mukwonago has so many events from Elegant Farmer in the Fall, Midnight Magic, Fall Fest, Farmers Market, Summerfest . . . always something fun to do in the community! Add to that the great community sports programs for kids and excellent elementary schools – what a great place to raise a family. – Anne Tanner
