My name is Mellody Giese and I was raised in North Prairie, My husband and I built in Vernon in 2002.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have a wonderful husband named David, 2 sons, Logan and Braden.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been helping people buy and sell homes since 1993.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
David Alan Alans, Fork in the Road, and Blue Heron.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I grew up in North Prairie, went through the Mukwonago school district and work in this area ever since.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
I went to school with Margie Canfield and Craig Vertz. I think both of them have done amazing this with our kids and for our community.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would like to see Greece just because I think it is beautiful and Switzerland because my grandfather was born there.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
90 Day Fiance

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Try each day to do one thing that makes the world a better place.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Travel and buy a lake home.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
AC/DC gives me energy

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
I use to work at Fork in the road back when it was Vista Gardens.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Kelly Clarkson….I know she is a foodie and would like David Alan Alans

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love the sense of small community. I love the festivals and all the lakes.

Q: What have you done to make Mukwonago a better place?
I volunteer for Lifes Connections and helped them buy the old Miller Pharmacy building. I help them raise money to offer our community low cost or free sevices. I also volunteer on the North Prairie Harvest Fest Commitee.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Still selling houses, enjoying my family and friends at my lake house.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Even though I am very outgoing, I do not like to stand and speak in front of people.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Isla Mejeres Mexico

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite season is fall, my favorite holiday is Christmas, and my favorite day is my birthday.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
I don’t think you can beat our small town feel. Lots to see and do, but still everyone cares about everyone else.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My friends and family.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
Fresh cut grass and right after it rains.
