Please highlight your accomplishments while in High School.
I have been involved in many things, including extracurriculars and sports. Through Mukwonago Volleyball I have been awarded Team MVP, First Team All-Conference, Honorable Mention All-State, Classic 8 Hitting Percentage Leader, as well as team blocking, hitting percentage, and kills leader. Through school and extracurriculars I have been a 3 year scholar athlete, HOSA state participant twice, Kiwanis Student of the Month, AP Scholar with distinction, and I am working towards earning my Global Scholars Certificate.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Throughout my entire life I have been very close with my family. I have an older sister and a younger brother, and although we fight and bicker like most siblings do, we have grow up very close with each other. I also am very thankful to have grown up with caring and dedicated parents that I have always had a good relationship with. My parents have always made a point to go to all of my sporting events and competitions, and I am very grateful for everything they have done for me. I also have grown up being close to my extended family. Now many of them live out of state and are unable to attend many of my events, but I always know that they are supporting me from wherever they are, whether it be sporting spirit wear or watching live streams. Overall, I am very grateful for the support that my family has provided for me in all my endeavors, and I wouldn’t trade my relationship with them for the world.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation I am planning on attending Winona State University to play volleyball and study Biochemistry and minoring in Spanish. I am unsure what my plans after college are, but I have considered using my degree to pursue pharmacological or biological research, or possibly attending medical school.
What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse and Saloon and Antigua Real
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel to Nicaragua. I have been a Spanish student for several years and I would love a chance to practice my speaking in real world situations. The country of Nicaragua is also a very beautiful country with a lot of views of nature, as well as lively cities. I would love an opportunity to expand my worldview by learning about the culture of Nicaragua through meeting people, eating food, and experiencing daily life.
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I am not a huge movie fan, but I love the show Criminal Minds.
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
One piece of advice I have it so be as involved as possible. I participate in many clubs and extracurriculars throughout the school, and it has brought me some of my best friends, and many of them I would never have met otherwise. I also would recommend participating in the various events offered by the school. There are many things that only happen in high school, such as Homecoming, spirit weeks, the bonfire, football games, and so much more. Attending these events have given me some of my favorite memories from high school!
If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
Criminal Minds
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would have lunch with Dana Rettke from the Wisconsin Badgers Volleyball Team. She has been a major aspect of the success of the team in recent years, and watching the team I have grown to admire her persistence and strong work ethic. Even though she is already incredible at what she does she continues to work hard to get better for her team. With the volleyball team winning the National Championship recently I also would like to hear about her experience and what she endured to get to that point. We would have this lunch at David Alan Alan’s Smokehouse and Saloon. I love the environment of the restaurant and I think it would be a very welcoming place for a meal and conversation.
What is your favorite thing about our community?
I love the interconnectedness, everybody knows and supports everybody.
What have you done to make Mukwonago a better place?
I have spent a lot of time volunteering within the community, especially within the volleyball community but also at the elementary schools, the middle school, and at the library.
Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I hope to be furthering my education and potentially beginning my career in whatever field I end up pursuing. I also hope to begin settling down with my family. Most importantly, I hope to remain involved in any community I am a part of, like I am in Mukwonago.
What is something on your bucket list?
Scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef
What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Quinn XCII
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month has to be May, I love spring and the excitement of the end of the year coming soon. My favorite holiday has to be Christmas because a lot of my family that lives out of state comes home for the holidays and I love catching up with family I don’t get to see often. The best single day on the calendar is June 10th, or when school gets out for the summer, I love the bittersweet feeling of accomplishment of completing the year.

Who inspires you to be better?
My dad always inspires me to be better because he is always kind to everyone, and he rarely does anything without considering the outcome.
Who would you like to give a Shout Out to that contributed to your success?
I appreciate my teachers and coaches that I have had throughout the years, but most of all I love my friends and family that have been by my side throughout my journey.
