What High School do you attend?
Mukwonago High School

Please highlight your accomplishments while in High School.
Throughout my high school career, I have been involved in various clubs and extracurriculars. I am currently an officer for Spanish Club and a member of the National Honors Society. I have also been a competitive member of DECA for all four years of high school and competed in multiple marketing categories. As far as sports, I was on the dance team my freshman year and played golf for the past three seasons. On top of all of these school activities, I am also a competitive studio dancer at Accent On Dance Mukwonago and spend most of my time outside of school practicing or performing with my team. I have been named a Scholar-Athlete all four years of high school and have taken four AP classes, along with other college-level courses, while maintaining a 3.962 GPA. I have been awarded the Lions Club Business and Marketing Student of the Year Award, the President’s Education Award, National Spanish Exam Honoree, and I received my Social Media Marketing Certification. During my senior year, I was chosen to be the manager of our school store, the Muk Corner. Within our community, I have donated my time to local organizations and have achieved over 200 hours of volunteer service over the past four years.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family has always been so encouraging and they truly are my biggest supporters. My parents, Lisa and Bill, are my #1 fans and continue to show up for me at every dance performance. They have given me countless opportunities that have allowed me to learn and grow. Although I’m an only child, I’ve been extremely fortunate to live near so many members of my extended family. This has allowed me to grow up near my cousins and form a strong relationship with them. I’ve always considered my cousins, friends, and dance team to be like my siblings. Along with my parents and I, we also have dogs, cats, and horses that make up our family.

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be attending UW-Madison in the fall to major in Marketing in the Direct Admit Business Program. My plan is to pursue a career in Brand Management or Digital Studies. I am also interested in studying Spanish and hopefully will have the opportunity to study abroad in college.

What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
My favorite restaurants are Fork in the Road and Sol de Mexico.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I have traveled quite a bit with my family and my mom has even visited every continent. If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go to Greece. My parents explored the country on a cruise and came home with so many beautiful pictures to show. I would love to experience the ancient history, stunning beaches, and Greek culture someday.

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite movie is Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and my favorite TV show is Victorious.

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
My biggest advice for the younger students is to get involved early on! Put yourself out there and join clubs that interest you or try a new sport! I would encourage everyone to make the most of their time here because eventually, high school memories will be remembered as the “good old days”.

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
Dancing with the Stars

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would meet Zendaya for lunch at Fork in the Road. I’ve been inspired by Zendaya since I was a little girl, watching her act in Disney shows/movies. She was famous from a young age and has grown into a big Hollywood star, so I’m sure she would have amazing stories to tell about all of her experiences. Also, she is only 25 years old (7 years older than me), so I’m sure we would joke around and have a fun time.

What is your favorite thing about our community?
My favorite thing about our community is the support that everyone shows for sports, clubs, fine arts, and businesses. Whether it’s a festival at Field Park, a football game, or a charity fundraiser, everyone shows up to support Mukwonago!

What have you done to make Mukwonago a better place?
I have volunteered at various community events that fundraised for charities. I also like promoting events that bring people together in Mukwonago.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5-10 years, I hope I have graduated from college and am traveling the world, just like my mom did after college. I also hope to secure a steady job by then.

What is something on your bucket list?
I’ve always wanted to travel the world, so I hope to visit at least 3 Wonders of the World.

What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Kesha

Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is July because there is no school and it is perfect weather to be outside. I also love my family’s tradition of going up north for the Fourth of July. I can’t choose a favorite holiday- I love Christmas for the holiday cheer and Thanksgiving for the yummy food! The best day of the year is the last day of school because it’s always an amazing feeling to walk out of school when the bell rings and to feel the excitement of summer in the air!

What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Chai Tea, Cookie Butter, and Texas Roadhouse- really any food 🙂

Who inspires you to be better?
My mom has always inspired me to be braver and more confident in myself. She shows me how hard work always pays off and that I can accomplish anything if I set my mind to it. She constantly reminds me: “You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” I want to be just like my mom when I’m older.

Who would you like to give a Shout Out to that contributed to your success?
My parents have shaped me into who I am today and have given me guidance and love. I would like to thank my dance teachers and teammates for challenging me and teaching me about commitment, dedication, and the value of a team. I also believe my friends have helped me become a more positive and bubbly person. We have so much fun together and they bring out the best in me!
