Mukwonago High School

Please highlight your accomplishments while in High School.
As a student, I was able to maintain a 3.97 GPA while taking 7 AP classes over 3 years and multiple other college courses. As an athlete, I was in the soccer and baseball programs for all four years, and wrestling for three. I earned a starting varsity role for both soccer and baseball as a junior and received all-conference honors as a junior for soccer. Outside of sports I also participated in many clubs throughout school. These include The National Honors Society, Key Club, Spanish Club, HOSA, The Academy of Medical Professionals, and the Junior Optimist Club. I was nominated to be the Vice President of the National Honor Society and held an officer position in both HOSA and Spanish Club as a junior. Finally, outside of clubs and activities throughout the school, I received other honors including becoming the Kiwanis Student of the Month and the Mukwonago High School Sophomore Representative for the Wisconsin Leadership Seminar.

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is and will remain one of the most important things in my life. I live in Mukwonago with my mom, Heather, my dad, Jason, and my little brother, Carter. My parents are my biggest role models, as I strive to one day be able to be as respected and impactful in others people’s lives as they are. As for my little brother, I strive to become the best role model possible for him and he motivates me every day to hold myself to that standard.

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison and dual majoring in kinesiology and Spanish on a pre-medical track. Later, I hope to get into medical school and one day become a cardiologist.

My favorite movie is The Sandlot and I enjoy watching sports on T.V.

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
I would let everyone know to not worry so much about school and trying to be perfect. Instead, slow down and enjoy the years in high school a little bit more because they go by very fast.

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
Grey’s Anatomy

If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would love to sit down and have lunch with Doctor James Stein. Doctor Stein is one of the nation’s leading experts in cardiology and a professor of cardiovascular research at U.W Madison. I believe it would be amazing to sit down with him and talk about his journey to becoming a cardiologist and listen to any advice he may have for me.

What is your favorite thing about our community?
My favorite thing about our community is how supportive we are of athletic events at the high school. Throughout my years at the school, there has always been massive support from both the students and members of the community at almost every event. Everyone supports our athletes, and I think that is so cool to see.

What have you done to make Mukwonago a better place?
I have volunteered at many different places and through many different organizations including the Thrift Store and Brooklife Church. I have also volunteered in many instances to help support our athletics including picking up trash in the football stadium and delivering salt for the booster club.
