Please highlight your accomplishments while in High School.
While in high school, I took 3 honors classes and 7 AP classes and maintained a GPA of 3.964. During my freshman year, I was the defensive MVP on the JV2 soccer team, received the Leonard Bernstein Award for Musical Contributions in the choir program at Mukwonago, and raced on the varsity ski racing team for Mukwonago. In my sophomore year, I was the defensive MVP of the JV soccer team and raced on varsity again for the Mukwonago Ski Team. During my junior year, I was the Captain and MVP of the JV soccer team, Captain and MVP of the Ski Team, and an Honorable Mention All-Conference for ski racing. In my senior year, I was Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team, Captain and MVP of the Mukwonago Ski Team, 2nd Team All-Conference for ski racing, Kiwanis December Student of the Month, Mukwonago High School Social Studies Student of the Year, and received the Classic 8 Conference Scholar-Athlete Award. During my junior and senior years, I was the Vice President of the Mukwonago National Honor Society. I was on the Mock Trial Team all 4 years and was the Captain of the team during my senior year. I was the Student Representative on the School Board for my senior year.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I live with my mother, Jennifer Lorensen, dad, Chad Lorensen, and my brother, Carter Lorensen. They are all very supportive of me and push me to be the best I can be.
What are your plans after graduation?
I will attend St. Olaf College and major in Economics. I am also considering political science and a concentration in management studies. After that, I plan to attend law school.
What is your favorite meal?
The buffet at Chen’s Kitchen in Mukwonago, specifically their egg rolls and lo mein.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would love to travel to the Swiss Alps. I love to ski and it would be an interesting new experience and culture change.
What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite movies are the Kingsmen movies. My favorite TV shows are Parks and Recreation and Suits.
Who was/is your favorite teacher/coach from any grade? Why?
My favorite teacher and coach is Mr. Romo. I had a great classroom experience in AP World History with him and also enjoyed my time with him on the Mock Trial Team and the Soccer Team.
What is your favorite thing to do in Mukwonago?
I love to visit all the great restaurants as well as go fishing.
If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
My advice is to be well-rounded. Make sure not to only focus on one thing. Being well-rounded in your life will open doors to all sorts of new possibilities that may not have been available without a diversity of interests and skills.
If you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with Mikaela Shiffrin to talk about her success in the skiing world. It would be very interesting to learn about her mentality on the mountain before a race and during training. I think Antigua Real would be a great place for this lunch because it is a great restaurant that provides a great atmosphere to converse in.
What is your favorite thing about our community?
I love all of the support present in our community that makes sure every organization and program can continue to be successful.
What have you done to make Mukwonago a better place?
I have offered a lot of my time volunteering in my community with my church as well as many service organizations. I have spent a lot of time as a peer tutor helping my classmates understand their classes better. I have also served as a Student Representative on the School Board, making sure the voices of our students are heard.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I hope to be a lawyer and live a comfortable life focusing on building a great family.
Have you ever had a nickname? What is it and why were you given it?
I have never had a nickname because my name is short and is not ever abbreviated.
What are you passionate about?
I really love skiing as well as learning about all sorts of new topics in government and how the world is run.
What is something on your bucket list?
Something I’ve always wanted to do is go heli-skiing.
What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Fleetwood Mac
Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is December, my favorite holiday is Christmas, and the best single day on the calendar is always the last day of school.
What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
I would say pancakes are a 10 out of 10.
Who inspires you to be better?
My parents inspire me to be better because they know deep down what I can accomplish and to push me to become everything I can be.

I would like to thank my ski coach, George Loomans, for always supporting me and encouraging me to be the best I can be.
